CME Credits
Target Audience and Objectives
This conference provides a comprehensive overview of major advances in internal medicine and subspecialties geared specifically to internists, subspecialists and family practitioners. Content will address commonly encountered conditions with emphasis on review of emerging science and current clinical practice guidelines with practical strategies for integration of new concepts into daily clinical practice.
AOA & AMA Accreditation
The Osteopathic Founders Foundation is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
The Osteopathic Founders Foundation designates this activity for a maximum of sixteen (16) AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Oklahoma State Medical Association (OSMA) through the joint providership of Saint Francis Health System and the Osteopathic Founders Foundation. Saint Francis Health System is accredited by the Oklahoma State Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Saint Francis Health System designates this live activity for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Proper Prescribing
The lecture provided by C. Scott Anthony, DO – “The Appropriate Management of Opioid Therapy” (Saturday at 4:45pm) – meets the annual licensure renewal requirement for one (1) hour of education in pain management or one (1) hour of education in opioid use or addiction for the Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners and the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as is set forth in SB 848 & 1446. Pharmacy Accreditation
This program will be submitted to the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy for continuing pharmacy education.
Attendance
A physician’s participation in this activity will be recorded via physical sign-in sheets for those attending in-person and by check-ins during each lecture for those attending virtually.
CME Reporting
The Osteopathic Founders Foundation will report CME credits for osteopathic physicians only. Hours reported will be commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in the specified activity based on attendance records and submitted attestations and/or evaluations. Hours will be reported to the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) through traCME and to the Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners (OSBOE) through CE Broker (only for those with a valid license number in the State of Oklahoma). Hours will be submitted to these governing bodies within 48 hours of the final evaluation deadline.
